Bell Flavors & Fragrances de Mexico, S.L.R. de C.V.
September 2001: Bell Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. announces the purchase of EIGSA (Empresa Industrializadora de Guadalajara, S.A. de C.V.) a lavor and fragrance manufacturer in Guadalajara, Jalisco (Mexico).
The purchase was finalized on August 16, 2001. The new acquisition will be named Bell Flavors & Fragrances de Mexico, S.L.R. de C.V. . EIGSA de C.V., established in 1952, is a privately held, full-service manufacturer of flavors and fragrances. Located in Guadalajara, the company's primary focus is to support the flavor and fragrance requirements of Mexico and Latin America. EIGSA de C.V. is regionally recognized for its product development in flavors, food product ingredients and fragrances with registered trademarks.
"The purchase of EIGSA was in direct response to the needs of our Latin American customers," said James Heinz, president and CEO. "The acquisition synergistically combines our growth objectives as a world-wide company with our dedication to servicing our existing customers."
