This year, we’re taking a new approach – instead of releasing all trends simultaneously, we’re introducing them quarterly. Each of the four trends gets its own moment to fully unfold its effect and provide inspiration for innovative fragrance concepts. This rolling approach allows for a deeper engagement with each individual trend and continuously opens up new creative impulses.

Bringing the Art Inside

“Bringing the Art Inside” combines art and fragrance into a unique sensory experience. Inspired by colors, textures, and emotions of visual art, experimental fragrance compositions create an olfactory dimension for visual experiences. Fragrances thus become an extension of art – they make colors smellable and emotions tangible.

Finely tuned fragrance accords capture the depth and expressiveness of artistic works. Green, citrusy, and floral notes create a vibrant freshness that symbolizes the first brush stroke on a canvas. Warm, oriental facets and spicy accents add depth and structure – like artfully layered color layers or the texture of fine materials.

This trend reflects the beauty of creative masterpieces and makes them experienceable through scent. German Fragrance House uses AI to Map Scent Relationships

What does vanilla smell like compared to musk? And what do citrus scents have in common at a molecular level? Bell Flavors & Fragrances EMEAI, based in Leipzig, Germany, is using artificial intelligence to find out – and to rethink how fragrances are developed.

With a digital scent map, molecule encoder and formulation optimiser, Bell’s AI links chemistry, sensory data and decades of expertise. The result: faster, more targeted and more flexible fragrance creation.

The project is supported by Leipzig University and benefits especially medium-sized clients – helping them respond to trends and ingredient changes more efficiently.

At the Long Night of Science, Bell invites the public to help train the system by evaluating scent samples live.

Anyone interested can visit the company’s scent station on 20 June 2025, 6 – 10 pm, during the Long Night of Science at the Faculty of Chemistry (Johannisallee 29, 04103 Leipzig).

Fruit and jelly are a match made in heaven. Jellies not only preserve the freshness and flavour of fruit, but enhance it with subtle, complementary notes. Experiment to find the perfect flavour pairing – you’ll be surprised how well they work together.

Bakery Magic with a Glossy Twist

Jellies don’t stop at dessert – they bring brilliance to the bakery, too! Add a glossy glaze or a fruity finish to cakes and pastries for a professional, polished look.

Recipe idea: Colourful jelly cube

Step 1

Take one package each of jelly (red, yellow, and green) and prepare them according to the instructions. Let them cool.

Step 2

Prepare a vanilla sauce. Bring 300 ml of milk to a boil with 1 vanilla bean and 30 g of sugar, then add 200 ml of cream and 1 egg yolk. Bring to a boil again while stirring continuously. Remove the vanilla bean.

Step 3

Briefly soak 10 sheets of gelatin (2 packages) and dissolve them in a pot over medium heat. Then stir the gelatin into the vanilla sauce.

Step 4

Cut the colorful jelly into cubes and place them in a loaf pan. Pour the vanilla sauce over it. After 3 hours in the refrigerator, the cake can be turned out.

Bell Flavors & Fragrances EMEAI, headquartered in Germany, has officially inaugurated its new state-of-the-art application laboratories at its Sri City production facility in India. This expansion significantly enhances Bell’s ability to deliver high-quality, customer-focused flavour solutions tailored to the Indian market. Equipped with advanced technology, the laboratories support key food and beverage categories, including baked goods, confectionery, and softdrinks.

With this expansion, we continue to reinforce our position in the flavours industry, delivering high-quality solutions tailored to regional consumer preferences.

In the course of expanding its facilities in India and strengthening its regional focus, Bell Flavors & Fragrances GmbH and its subsidaries refer to themselves now as “Bell EMEAI” – a designation that represents its subsidiaries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India. This change reflects Bell’s growing commitment to the Indian market and its strategic presence across these key regions.

Grand Opening in Sri City

The inauguration event brought together customers, partners, and key stakeholders for a firsthand look at Bell’s enhanced capabilities in India. The management team joined the local Sri City team in celebrating this milestone and underscoring the company’s commitment to the region. The event also provided an opportunity to showcase Bell’s latest innovations and collaborative approach to flavour and fragrance development.

New Labs, new possibilities

The new application laboratories expand the technical expertise in Sri City, allowing the local team to develop and test market-ready solutions. Bell’s presence in India

Since its establishment in January 2023, Bell’s Sri City plant has been a key hub for producing customized flavours and fragrances for manufacturers in India and the surrounding region. The facility includes two modern production halls, quality control and application laboratories, warehouses, and dedicated office spaces. With a growing team across Sales, Production, Customer Service, R&D, and Operations, Bell ensures seamless service with a strong focus on customer collaboration and tailored solutions.
